Greetings from New York!

I met Caroline and John during a show at Wyland Galleries in Lake Tahoe.  They were the sweetest people!  For her 50th birthday present, John bought her my "Autumn Jewel" Giclée.  Here is the email I just received from Caroline:

Hi Jennifer,

I wanted to thank you for the little something extra you did for my birthday. I appreciate you making our giclée an artist print and I absolutely love my birthday card.

Autumn Jewel is hanging above the fireplace in our family room. It looks lovely and everyone who comes to our home is enthralled by its beauty. I love that the windows to the sides of the fireplace allow the woods to come through into the room. Together the giclée and the trees outside compliment one another.

We are hoping to go to Scottsdale next year in February. Perhaps we will see you there!

I have attached pictures of your Autumn Jewel.

Our best wishes to your beautiful family.

Aspens and Poppies--the perfect duo!

Most would think Colorado Aspens and Tuscan Poppies couldn't be hung together...but, as you see here, this is simply not true.  Though the genres are very different, the painting style and bold colors unify the two pieces beautifully!   The curved, vaulted wall in the first photo, posed a decorating dilemma for my clients.  They needed something tall and narrow--not easy to find!  Most artists simply don't paint so large.  So, when they saw my vertical 72" x 24" (each panel) "Skyward--Diptych" they knew they had found the perfect piece!  The size was ideal, and the colors suited beautifully the yellow walls. After the diptych was hung, the existing artwork in the niche suddenly appeared drab and unsuitable.  We all agreed that a 48 x 48 painting of brilliant red poppies would work nicely in that spot.  My clients chose "Hills of Chianti" which I had sent from a Gallery directly to them.  This is the final result.  Problem solved.  House completed!

"Desert Hike" Finds Home in Scottsdale

Since moving to Arizona this past January for Celebration of Fine Art, I have developed a fondness for desert landscape.  I especially love the desert in Spring when all the colorful wild flowers burst in bloom.  There is such an array of bold color--oranges, yellows, purples, blues.  It really should never be portrayed in drab browns and greens, like I see so often painted.  I've done about 5 desert scenes, and each one find a home within a couple of days.  I think I'm on to a new series!  Just this past week, Suzanne and Rick from Calgary Canada added my 48 x 48 "Desert Hike" to their art collection.  It fit beautifully in their Scottsdale home over a dark brown credenza.  I was thrilled!  Here's a pic!

3TV Arizona Morning Show Interview!

I was featured on the Morning Show (Arizona 3TV) at Celebration of Fine Art. I had to wake up at 6 a.m...but it was a lot of fun. I talked in detail about the new lavender field painting I was working on.  I'll be posting the bit soon!

Puzzles and more Puzzles!

Ceaco, the world's leader in puzzle manufacturing and distribution chose 6 of my paintings to  publish on puzzles.  Founded in 1987 their mission is: "To create high quality, innovative and challenging jigsaw puzzles and to provide hours of family fun."  They pride themselves on developing and maintaining long standing relationships with some of the finest artists of our time.  I was thrilled to be chosen as one of their artists.  Within the last 6 months, they have sold over 15,000 of my puzzles in stores everywhere and on Amazon.  I brought some puzzles to the show and placed them in the gift shop...and they've been a big hit with collectors.  It's been fun to personalize their puzzles by signing the box with a gold pen.  Makes for a great gift!  I do warn them, though, that these puzzles are not for the faint of heart.  Truly, it took me longer to put one together than it did to create the actual painting!  And that was only the 500 piece one!  But, for the true puzzle lover--this only creates a more irresistible challenge.  I welcome anyone who finishes one of my puzzles to email me a picture and I will post them on my blog and website! :)

Aspen Painting for Mantel!

Lee and Barbara have followed my work for the past few years and decided it was finally time to become official collectors!  After thoroughly perusing my website, they decided that a similar painting to "Aspen Symphony" would be the perfect piece for above their mantel.  They wanted something with lots of color and depth.  When I came to their house to deliver the painting, I understood why they had chosen that particular piece.  It was the perfect compliment to their beautiful collection of glass.  There were pops of color everywhere in their home.  This painting unified everything together.  It couldn't have been more perfect.  I was thrilled.  It was exciting to fulfill the vision of my collectors.  They knew exactly what they wanted, and I was happy I could provide them with something that will bring them joy for many years.  After extensive remodeling and redecorating, they consider their house now finished!
