Problem Solved!

Steve and Julie Cooper saw my work at the show and thought it would be a great fit for their newly remodeled home in Surprise, AZ. They asked if I could come out to their house to see the space and give them decorating advice. I love doing "Home Shows." It's really the best way for me to get my clients exactly what they need. Decorating is my specialty! Steve and Julie needed something for their bedroom, and after deliberating for a couple of hours, we decided a Giclee of "Golden Sunrise" would be perfect. Julie was fond of the idea of a diptych, so we will be splitting up the Giclee into two panels. It will look fabulous in that spot!

February 27th--All finished! Today Julie met me at the show and picked up her new Giclee diptych. She loved it! She brought in an actual pillow sham just to make sure the colors all matched...and it looked fabulous. I can't wait to see it hanging up in that spot!

"Out of Bounds" 48 x 48 - SOLD!

Elly and Steve Hammerman (Parents of Ira Hammerman) are avid art collectors and have been coming to the show for over a decade. They add to their collection every year--but usually with Western themed Art! Thus it was with great surprise when they decided to purchase my "Out of Bounds" painting. I was thrilled! At first the piece was slated to hang in the Guest house, but I've heard they have instead decided to place it in their home where they can enjoy it on a daily basis.

"Colorado Vista"--48 x 36

There it is again...Maroon Bells in the background. If you've ever been to Colorado, you've seen or at least heard about "Bells." It is one of Colorado's most beautiful mountain ranges. And I happen to love painting it! Very dramatic shadows and shapes. In the fall "Bells" is particularly breath taking! I'm going back this October just to take more pictures. There's about two weeks when all the glorious autumn color peaks. Timing is everything! Then, if you combine all those yellows with vibrant red...you have yourself a painting that will delight the senses. In my opinion, there is no better color combination than yellow/red. It's all about color...and thick texture of course!

"Silver Sentinels" 60 x 36 original

This is a painting I've wanted to do for a long time--a close-up of just aspen trunks. I got a little carried away with the thick texture--it's more like a sculpture than a painting! The canvas is quite heavy, in fact. This piece is a bit more "contemporary" than my norm--almost abstract seeming. There is also a little detail that I added to one of the trunks....

"Symphony of Color III" Giclée on canvas

Barbara, a client from Chicago discovered my website, and fell in love with my "Symphony of Color III". She decided to order a 60 x 36 Giclée to hang above the fireplace in her Summer Home. I promised Barbara I would give her Giclée a lot of extra love and attention!

Barbara just received her "Symphony of Color III" Giclée, and this is the response she emailed me:
Jennifer,

We hung the picture in our summer home. It looks spectacular! It is over the fireplace in our great room which is a two story room. It looks a little bit different depending on where you stand in the room, and how the light hits it. As a result, the colors stand out at different times making it an ever changing picture. We love it.

Thank you for sending the information about yourself and the certificate of authenticity. Our friends who have seen it raved about it...let's see if we can't drum up some more business for you in the Midwest.

Barbara

Aspen Blue III - New Commissioned Painting by Jennifer Vranes

The client who commissioned this painting, discovered my work online. He's actually never seen my work in person! That's why I try to take close-up shots of the texture, because it's hard to fathom just how thick the paint really is from little online pics! I think he got the idea, and chose two paintings that he liked from my blog, and asked me to paint them up again...but in a bigger size. No problem!

Fall Confetti - new aspen forest painting by Jennifer Vranes

Fall is here! This really is my favorite time of year--especially for painting. Great autumn colors! This fall scene captures the beauty of this season. The texture of the Aspen Trees is extremely thick! I can't seem to get enough texture. I just sent this painting off to my Gallery in Aspen, Colorado. They keep asking me for more work--especially of scenes with lots of RED and YELLOW.

Evening Promise II - New Aspen Painting by Jennifer Vranes

This particular image has been very popular this month. I've painted variations of this scene five times! Each client requests a different size, with minute changes to fit their individual preferences. In the commission below, the clients requested a brilliant blue sky and a light source that comes the front of the painting--illuminating the trees and meadow. In the first piece, I had a yellow sky that back lit the forest. The clients approved the commission, and we shipped it off today!

"Myriad of Colour" commission

This piece was commissioned by a client who liked the first "Myriad of Colours" (48 x 48), but needed it in a different size. This happens quite frequently. A client will walk into a Gallery, like a certain piece, but end up commissioning me to do the same piece again but with a few changes to make it work. This client wanted the painting to be a horizontal...but retain the same "flavor" as the first. Here is the result:

Enjoy!
