Thanks Carole!

I occasionally get emails from complete strangers who happen upon my website by accident. I just love it when they take the time to drop me a quick email. This is the latest one from a woman named Carole:

Jennifer,

I stumbled across your work quite by accident. I love looking at Colorado scenery, especially the colors of Fall. Your paintings are gorgeous... the colors are so vibrant and inviting and I love them! Just wanted you to know that.

Email from Finland

What a sweet email from an artist in Finland. I love how the web makes it possible for a stranger on the other side of the world to view and connect with paintings created in a small town in Oregon:
I just wanted to tell you that I'm inspired by your paintings. I live in Finland and we have a lot of birches here. I like painting them too. I really like your autumn paintings.

Video Clip: "Autumn in Colorado"

Aspen Artist Jennifer Vranes has a passion for Aspen Trees! It is her favorite subject matter to paint. This year she visited Colorado to take pictures of the changing Fall colors. This video is a little taste from her trip.

Capturing Colorado!

Last week, my husband and I flew to Colorado to take picture of the changing leaves! What a trip. We landed in Denver, and drove about 4 hours to Aspen. We spent the next 5 days taking pictures of the gorgeous scenery. I couldn't get enough of the aspen trees! By the end of the trip we'd logged in 1500 miles in our rental car (good thing we had unlimited miles!) and took over 4,000 pictures! These photos will be the inspiration for my next series of aspen paintings...my only question is which one to paint first?! :)
